Ministry: Tele2 drops intention to hike unlimited tariffs strongly
MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator T2 RTK Holding, working under brand Tele2, will not increase of the price of unlimited tariffs significantly after the Digital Development Ministry’s reaction, the ministry said on Wednesday in a statement.
“The Digital Development Ministry has reacted to the earlier statements about a rise by 1.5 times of the price of Tele2’s unlimited tariffs and discussed the situation with the operator,” the ministry said.
“The company quickly responded to the ministry’s position and will not hike the price of unlimited tariffs by more than 50 rubles in accordance with the current rules.”
Tele2 clients were notified on Tuesday about a huge rise of the tariffs, and complaints were posted on social media.
